Hello CEED Aspirants

Being technical in academics drawings or art doesn’t come easily to you, and there u get stuck. But Do not worry here are some tips which will help you to crack CEED Exam.

  1. 1.    Solve Past Year Papers

You need to solve the past year papers as this will help you in understanding the question asked. This will help you in setting the right strategy. Click here to get the pastyear papers of CEED. Only going through them is not enough, you need to solve them to get real time experience.

.
  1. 2.    Practice sketching

In CEED you are required to sketch some everyday seen objects. So you need to be very observant as examiner would notice your noticing skills and would look for same in your sketches. For Example correct texture, material, proportion etc. should be taken care in your sketches. Instead of aesthetic or perfection skills examiner is looking for detailing and analytical skills.

  1. 3.    Learn Freehand sketching

Instruments are not allowed in CEED exam, hence you should learn free hand sketching, it will help to learn basics. Apart from learning, practicing is most important, because that is what will make you perfect.
.
  1. 4.    Use Right equipment’s

For CEED, all you need is only pencil and brains. You should have the knowledge of the pencil which should be used in sketching. Always try to use 2 grades of pencil: H-grade for rough work, light drawings, etc. and B for rapid work and where shading is involved. A wooden pencil works best, but sometimes a 0.7 mm pencil is best kept in reserve. Also, carry a non-dust eraser.

  1. 5.    Improve Visualization/noticing skills

You sketch what you visualize. It is very important to notice things around and try to draw them. In Exam you won’t be given objects to sketch, hence try to imagine things in your mind. So for practice first try decide what you want to draw, then picture the same into your mind, and then start drawing
For Practice try to sketch pot of metal or Bowl of fruits

  1. 6.    Be creative

Most important is analytical thinking or out of Box Thinking. Try to attempt every question creatively. Because that it what examiner is looking for. Originality and creativity is the key to success of CEED Exam.

I hope these little tips will help you in cracking CEED Exam. However, Ultimately success is the result of hardwork. Hence, practice well.

Best of luck

Fabric made out of Lotus

The #lotus has been used for centuries at #InleLake in#Burma to weave a rare fabric used to make robes for high ranking monks.

With a texture like raw silk and linen, it is known for its ability to cool the wearer in the hottest of climates.
It takes 32,000 lotus stems to make 1 yard/1 meter of fabric. The stems must be pulled by hand within a day of its harvest from the lake waters. It is then bunched, sliced and snapped apart to expose 20 fine fibers that are then pulled, hung to dry, and spinned by hand.

It takes 25 women making thread to produce enough yarn for one person. This process takes about a month and half. There are just 300 Intha people who know how to harvest the wild lotus flower stems.
